The boys are happy to do the demolition. Owen takes out the old cast iron tub with a 2 1/2 pound hammer and a lot of muscle. Austin and Nic are tearing down sheet rock and taking apart the chimney. We spend weekends clearing out the debris and getting ready for restoration. Once down to the studs, we find a note from the original builder of the house. It is written on a 2 x 4 and states: " To Whom It May Concern, this house was built Sept 17 , 1951 at a cost of $2900. $2600 for supplies and $300 for labor plus my own." Wow! We take photos to remember and add a note ourselves for the future.
This is quite the project!
